Cleaning Includes general cleaning of upstairs, downstairs including kitchen and bathrooms. Individuals should be able to push a sweeper, use a floor mop and bend/stretch to do general cleaning. May include special jobs such as window cleaning, polishing silver, dust removal on rugs and curtains, washing walls and general organizing.
Typing Individuals need to be proficient in use of computer (set-up, typing, printing), especially Microsoft Word. Typing jobs may vary from letters to large documents. Proofreading skill would also be desirable.
General Office Jobs are secretarial in nature and include but are not limited to filing, collating, letter stuffing, alphabetizing, managing lists, accepting phone calls, making phone calls, and general organizing.
Hostess Includes set-up, greeting and clean-up for specific Bowen House functions. May also include marketing of The Bowen House via brochure distribution and talking with patrons.
Food Prep Preparation of items for use at various functions. Often includes donation of baked items and beverages. Baking may be done at home or at The Bowen House.
House Maintenance/Repairs Individual needs to be proficient in various kinds of minor house repair including but not limited to painting, wood repair (minor), Light bulb replacement and minor plumbing.
Grounds Weeding, planting, landscaping and general tending of the grounds.
